Bronze, Limestone
A digitally modeled relief, 3D-printed and cast in bronze as a monument to the hornbeam trees of my hometown, Eislingen/Fils. The work combines new technologies with traditional craftsmanship and leverages the formal connotations of bronze to create the impression that the monument could be centuries old. The structure typical of 3D printing was largely concealed, yet deliberately utilized as texture on the tree itself.
