My artistic practice engages with the tension between a digitally shaped present and existing human and especially ecological structures. In doing so, I do not view modern technological tools as instruments of control, but rather use them to foster a respectful collaboration with my environment.

How can we find new ways to connect with nature in a world that seems to be drifting ever further away from it?

The voices of various birds are captured via microphones, analyzed, translated into MIDI Format and played back by a Moog Synthesizer as electronic sounds in real time. I manually modulate these using the synthesizers operators and various effects units. 

This creates a direct, respectful interaction and a collaborative composition in which the birds' voices form the foundation of tempo, pitch, and structure.
Digital tools are not viewed as a means of control,
but rather as a bridge bringing us closer to what
already surrounds us.
